Laura Waldo, DVM

Dr. Waldo graduated from the Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988 and is a member of the AVMA, MVMA, and Phi Zeta Veterinary Honor Society.  She enjoys teaching clients about their pet's health and working with them to understand and manage physical illness. Dr. Waldo thoroughly enjoys immersing herself in Continuing Education; especially Internal Medicine, Surgey and Ultrasound, and incorporating these into multi-modal treatments to optimize patient health.

Dr. Waldo has practiced along side her best friend and husband, Dr. Glenn Walquist for over 35 years and at the Country Veterinary Clinic since 2003. Together they raised two amazing sons, Barrett and Ryan, whom they couldn't be more proud of, especially in their relationships with the loves of their lives: Chelsey and Ellie. Relishing her time with her grandsons, Jack and Joey, Dr. Waldo ("Oma") shares her love of books, animals and adventures!

Life would never be complete (EVER!) without the presence of their beloved pets: 12 year old Lucie--a King Charles Spaniel--who lives for snacks and love (in that order!); 5 year old Kristof--a Rough-Coated Collie--who loves anything involving throwing a ball; Rose, their sweet Kitty who keeps everyone orderly...and the newest addition: Sweet Lieben--a young German Shorthaired Pointer--who is Laura's running buddy and lives for Lake Michigan's waters!

Living and practicing Veterinary Medicine in this magical place, Ludington, alongside of some of the best people she knows...with clients and pets who are empowering to work with...is why Dr. Waldo sees no end in sight for this incredible journey!
